1. Bookings and Payments
Deposit: A 50% deposit of the total trip cost is required to confirm your reservation.
Final Balance: Full payment is due 30 days before the departure date unless otherwise specified.
Payment Methods: We accept bank transfers, credit cards, or PayPal (please note that transaction fees may apply).
Confirmation: Your booking is officially confirmed only once the deposit is received and a written confirmation is issued by Peru Breathtaking Trips.
2. Cancellations and Refunds
By the Client:
All cancellations must be submitted in writing via email. The following fees apply:
More than 45 days before departure: Full refund (minus transaction fees).
30-45 days before departure: 50% refund of the total payment (minus transaction fees).
Less than 30 days before departure: No refund applicable.
By the Company:
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule any trip due to Force Majeure (natural disasters, strikes, unsafe conditions) or if the minimum group size is not met. In these cases, we will provide a full refund or offer alternative trip options of equal value.
3. Special Policy: Inca Trail Bookings
Strict Regulation: Inca Trail permits are governed by the Peruvian government and are non-refundable, non-transferable, and non-changeable.
Requirements: Full passport details and full payment for the permit are required at the time of booking.
Lead Time: Due to high demand, we recommend booking 4-6 months in advance.
Alternatives: If the Inca Trail is sold out, we will offer excellent alternatives like Salkantay, Lares, or the Inca Jungle Trail.
4. Group Discounts & Private Tours
Group Benefits: * 4-6 people: 5% discount.
7-10 people: 10% discount.
11+ people: Custom quote available.
Discounts must be requested at the time of booking.
Private Tours: Enjoy personalized guides and flexible schedules. Any changes to private itineraries must be communicated at least 15 days before the tour starts.
5. Travel Insurance & Health
Insurance: Travel insurance is highly recommended (and mandatory for trekking/high-altitude activities). It should cover medical emergencies, evacuation, and trip cancellations.
Fitness Level: Some tours are physically demanding. You must disclose any health conditions, allergies, or dietary restrictions during booking. We reserve the right to refuse participation if a condition poses a safety risk.
6. Documentation & Liability
Passports: Travelers must have a passport valid for at least 6 months after the return date.
Liability Waiver: By booking, you acknowledge the inherent risks of adventure travel (altitude, terrain, weather). Peru Breathtaking Trips is not liable for issues beyond our direct control or denied entries due to invalid documentation.
Itinerary Adjustments: We may modify routes due to weather or safety concerns to ensure the best experience possible.
7. Dispute Resolution & Image Use
Complaints: Please raise any issues immediately with your guide. Formal complaints must be sent in writing within 10 days of tour completion.
Media: We may use photos or videos taken during tours for promotional purposes. If you prefer not to appear in our media, please inform us in writing.
Jurisdiction: All disputes are governed by Peruvian Law and resolved in Peruvian courts.
