Itinerary
First day: Arequipa - Chivay - Cruz del Condor viewpoint - Pallqa
At 3 am we pick you up from the hotel, and then we travel for about 3 hours to Chivay where we will have breakfast.
After oour breakfast we will drive along the valley until we reach Cruz del Condor where we spend some minutes seeing the canyon and waiting for the condors to soar. Then we drive to Cabanaconde where we start our hike.
We will hike in the canyon for about 5 hours towards Pallqa. Most of the hike is donwhill. Lunch upon arrival. In the afternoon you can enjoy the little hot springs they have in Pallqa or simply rest after the hike. Dinner and cabin provided too.
Second Day: Pallqa - Sangalle
After breakfast we start hiking towards Sangalle. This day the hiking time is around 5 hours. On the way we pass the village of Belen. This day the hike is mixed so you go uphill, flat and downhill. We arrive to Sangalle for lunch. The afternoon to rest or to refresh yourself in the swimming pool. Dinner and cabin provided too.
Third Day: Sangalle - Cabanaconde - Arequipa
Around 4:30am we will start hiking uphill for around 3 hours towards Cabanaconde. On the way up you will enjoy the sunrise over the mountains that flank the Colca Canyon. In the town of Cabanaconde we will enjoy our breakfast. The transport back to Arequipa departs from this town.
On the way back to Arequipa we will stop to enjoy the hot springs of Yanque and for lunch as well.
We will arrive to Arequipa around 5:30pm
